The Mount of Olives, or Mount Olivet, the starting point of our journey through the Holy City of Jerusalem, Via Dolorosa and walking the Stations of the Cross. We were up quite early that day since the best time to start your pilgrim is definitely the morning. By the afternoon, the streets in the old city are jam-packed and it’s quite hard to navigate, especially if it’s your first time here and don’t know your way around.
WELCOMMMMMEEEE TO ISRAEL!!! After a quick 3 and a half hour flight from Rome to Israel, a various number of security checks, and a taxi ride, we finally made it to Jerusalem. It was almost dusk when we arrived at our apartment so we got settled and decided to walk around the neighborhood, look for some dinner. A lot of the shops were closed early that night because it was Sabbath day the next day but luckily we found a small grocery store that was open and also a pizza place! We headed home straight after dinner to rest up for our first touring day in Israel!
