I’ve been neglecting my Europe posts lately and I apologize! I have about 30+ drafts scheduled for the next few months. I’m getting back on track πŸ˜€ Bear with me, there are a ton of photos to edit hehe! Anywayssss, today’s post is all about The London Eye!!! Very London β™₯

It was a chilly and windy day in London, my family and I had just been on the Thames Clipper river boat to get to the London Eye.Β We didn’t have tickets before hand so we lined up to buy some. You can buy discounted tickets, fast-track tickets, packaged tickets with the River Cruise and also other London attractions Β online but we just opted for the single tickets which were Β£24.95 each (roughly Php 1550).

All tickets come with a free 4D experience as well so be sure to head to that either before or after your ride! Also if you’re planning on getting the souvenir photos I recommend getting them with the photos that you’ll take at the 4D experience. When we were there in April the photos wereΒ Β£20 (Php 1250) and it comes with a hardbound book, 4 photos (print out and digital copies that you can download), magnet and also a key ring!

The lines were long but bearable for both the tickets and getting on BUT it’s must for first timers in London! You get a beautiful scenic view of London, would have loved to see it during sunset but I still loved it!!! β™₯

  1. Hey, nice post. I don’t get to visit lots of blogs featuring London, and you say you still have some 30+ posts? Get them done na and post! Hahaha. I love this post of yours because I simply love skylines. Man, it must be quite an experience to be there and to see with your own eyes.

      1. Please do so. I would love to see more of London and UK. I have been reading a lot of blogs and find it really interesting and intriguing at the same time. I may not be there, but at least when I read, I feel like becoming a part of it, even for a little bit only.

  2. London is one of my dream country to visit and I must say you’re blessed you’re there. I love the skyline and everything about your post. We also have a giant eye here in Pampanga but no skyline scenery like yours.

    1. Wow, I’m also from Pampanga! Great to meet another Kapampangan blogger πŸ˜› I love the pretty lights on the Pampanga Eye but have never actually been hehe. Have you tried it? πŸ˜€

  3. Wonderful article! Never been to the UK yet, but it remains on top of my bucket list. I’m just not quite sure if I’d pick London, because I want to see the countryside. But sure, there are many famous landmarks in the city! Love to read from fellow travelers, and hope you can visit Norway that is a paradise here in Scandinavia, too. Anyway, it must be really awesome to try the London Eye. 30 minutes to gaze at the city is worthwhile. I’m wondering if it’s bigger than the Budapest Eye, which I managed to ride last year. Cheers to more travels!

    1. Thank you! I want to see more of the countryside of the UK as well but sad to say we only had 3 days to explore and even that was not enough to see London! I guess it gives me more reason to come back to England hehe πŸ˜›

  4. Kinda expensive but it seems to be worth it! I wish there were more photos from the ride in the London Eye. πŸ™‚ I remember reading about one your articles about Europe and was wondering when you’d post the rest. Good to know you have them lined up.

  6. I love London. I’ve been there now two times. Once when I was sixteen and this year (to go to Walker Stalker Con). I haven’t been to the London Eye yet. We didn’t have enough time to visit everything. So I will save it for next time.

  7. The view is great at the London Eye. This makes me wish I’m married already so I can finally go to Europe. My parents don’t allow me to travel with my BF alone. so yeah… I’m sure it’ll be romantic to view it with a significant other.

  8. I love your opening photo! reminded me of the tv show Sherlock! that book and TV show and Movie, is one of the reasons why I love Europe, aside from the awesome food πŸ˜€ I love how you really took advantage of your ‘vantage point’ and took awesome photos for us to see!

  9. 30 draft?!! And i am looking forward to reading those copies. I so love to learn more about London. Would want to tour London but having kids to look after and considering financial aspect also add up to the many reasons we keep on deferring our trip. Hopefully soon. Thanks for the share and please, will wait dor the other stories.

  10. The London Eye is one of those things you just can’t miss while in London! I have never been to London but want to and hope to go up on the London Eye as well. I agree that it would have been a plus to be up there during the sunset for sure! Looks like you had a great trip.

  11. Wow! London is definitely one of the best places. It sure is a bucketlist. If only going there would cost a month’s salary (referring to average rate lol)… I’d surely booked our way to get there but well, visa needs to get done so just soon hopefully. hehehe

  12. London is my ultimate place I want to visit. I’ve been seeing a lot of posts about the London Eye from friends but they were merely just photos. Thanks for giving us a way to know or see what it actually is when you’re in the London Eye. Also, I feel you about having a lot of photos to edit. I still haven’t even started with my Turkey posts yet!

  13. Amazing views of city skylines. London eye is one on my bucket list if i were to visit London. I wish soon! Similar thing i tried before was the one in Singapore. I think this higher? I personally love to stay on top and watch everything around and below. It must be so fulfilling!

  14. I went to London last December 2015, and didn’t get the chance to ride the London Eye. You’ve got some lovely photos here and although I didn’t get to experience it, your pictures let me saw what’s the view up there. Now, I’m jealous :(…Kidding aside, I think it would be lovely if the sun showed up when you’re there so you get to keep amazing photos. Keep posting! πŸ™‚

  15. These sure are some super magnificent photos and I love how gorgeous they are… I have always wanted to go on one of these huge ferris wheel but I haven’t quite gotten a chance yet…. I have been to London ages ago and this is a great post…

  20. If this is not magical then I don’t know magical is. The aerial view of London! I have only seen these in pictures. Nice article. Too big a city for a village girl like me. ???

  21. I’m headed to London next week and while I’ve been before for a few days, I never went up the London Eye. Those bird eye views are beautiful. I think I may have to consider going now πŸ™‚

But London is definitely something else. Such a great city!

  22. I always wondered if it was worth it to pay the admittance fee to take a ride on the London Eye, but judging by your photos, it’s definitely worth it! I’m going back to London in March and will check this out πŸ™‚

  23. The London Eye would be an amazing way to see London and all the amazing sights. I was in London donkey years ago so I never got to go up the London eye. I must go next year when I visit Europe – it looks amazing!

  24. I’m glad you enjoyed the London Eye and it looks like you really lucked out with the weather! I remember riding the London Eye when I was twelve and it being so rainy that we could hardly see anything! I remember still enjoying it though and loving that the slow rotation of the ferris wheel allowed us to really savor the views (or what we could see of them at least. haha). Nice photos and recap of your experience πŸ™‚

  25. Reading your blog post while imagining myself that I’m traveling with you. I’ve been dreaming to travel to London, and with this blog post of yours, this motivates me to save more money to be able to see the places you’ve seen even just at London’s eye. A beautiful place I must say!
